SP doom2 (map 1) requires: Zdoom Reviewer: Blue Paladin
Overall - SCORE: 7.5 This is a pretty decent map with some decent action and decent design. Well, it's pretty decent so try it out yourself.

DIFFICULTY RATING - rating: 7.2 This was pretty much a "fish in a barrel" scenario. I was the fish. You're in open places with not too much hiding room. You're gonna get a generous pelting; be ready for it. Still, it wasn't difficult at all.
Playability - rating: 7.3 It's cool the first time around but, like the original maps, you're gonna fall asleep because you'll know every nook and cranny then. But, the way the map's made, you're still gonna get a wake up call every now and then...
Level Design - rating: 7.1 It's traditional Doom thru and thru. The design wasn't extraordinary, but it's set up for sniper attacks pretty well. The Imps hiding around the corners in the caves were predictable and there was MORE than enough health and ammo for the job. |
