Eight Ball Champ V2.1 Update/debug by Jive on August 17, 2003: °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° - Box "Money collected" added. - Field "Credits" added as new value to save into the file "EightBallChamp.txt" - A bug in the Credit box was preventing the display of the credits: the box was named "Credits Text" instead of "CreditsText" (without space between "Credits" and "Text"), and the script was using "CreditsText"!!! - Table information full filled and rules added from the VPM version. ====================================== Where to get this table? Get it at... http://www.hippie.net/shivasite/files/visualpinball/countdown/countdown.cgi?eightballchampv2_0.zip http://www.nwlink.com/~scapino/Index.htm Release History ***** First Release v2.0 8-10-2001 Why start at 2.0? Because most of what I learned doing Supersonic is in this machine. There are undoubtedly some bugs that I am sure you all will find. I hope you will note them and tell me so in the forums at shiva, or by e-mail. Any help at all will be appreciated, and credited. The playfield, and 90% of the plastics are completely redrawn, useing Photoshop, and a good 150 megs of ram! I had to upgrade my machines ram to 512 megs just so I didn't have to wait 5 minutes for the many layered Photoshop document to load! I havn't figured out where the center roll over switch (just under the pool table) fits in to the scheme of the game play, so at present it does nothing. If anyone can shed some light on making the gameplay of this table more accurate, I'd appreciate the help! ***** The fonts Quartz and Victorian are required and are included. Just copy the fonts to your font folder. My next table is going to be Gottliebs Close Encounters. I've allready created a very nice and realistic rototarget, that works and is animated. the rest of the table is simple. As allways, its the graphics that'll take the most time to finish. I have also VPinMamed my Supersonic table, just for my own use, and am updating my Visual Pinball version to more closely reflect the actual gameplay seen in the VPinMame version, including the sounds. Enjoy Eight Ball Champ! Kurt Herman scapino@nwlink.com
