This total conversion recently came to my attention thanks to SilentZorah via the Doom Wad Station forums. So, naturally, I had to download it. Well, it was worth it, even at 123 megabytes. Featured in the Alpha are the E1M1 from Doom and Map01 from Doom2.

I have to tell you. This team is doing a wonderful job inputting the original sounds, textures, etc... from the original games. The Doom3 creatures are still of the Doom3 variety but If I understand correctly, that is going to change. Also, what I thought was very cool, was that they RE-implemented opening doors by clicking on them - something lost in the newer games. Anyway, make certain to visit their website often for updated news/screenshots/etc... and download the file from here when it is updated.
